The Excell+1 Canon FD Lens Adapter for Micro Four Thirds Cameras from Fotodiox is a brass adapter with a stainless steel finish that allows you to mount a Canon FD lens to a Micro Four Thirds camera body. It features light focusing optics that adjust the crop factor by 0.72x, changing the original crop factor from 2x to only 1.4x. If you use this on a 50mm lens, instead of having an equivalent focal length of about 100mm it will be about 70mm. The optics also have the benefit of increasing the maximum aperture by 1 stop, taking an f/1.4 lens down to f/1.0 for example.
This adapter has built-in aperture control for operation with lenses that don't have aperture rings. Also, the dial can be used as a depth-of-field preview system for lenses with aperture control. The aperture will focus to infinity and has a leaf spring system for secure attachment of the lens to the adapter.
Although the lens will fit physically, automatic lens control and functions will not operate correctly while using this adapter. You can utilize aperture priority mode in combination with stop-down metering for automatic exposure control on your camera.
