The B&W 62mm Kaeseman Circular Polarizing Multi-Resistant Coating (MRC) Filter is constructed from select polarizer foils and especially prepared optical glass. Kaeseman ("encased") filters are completely edge-sealed for maximum durability under extreme climatic conditions.
Polarizing filters are used to select which light rays enter your camera lens. They can remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water or glass and also saturate colors providing better contrast. The effect can be seen through the viewfinder and varied by rotating the filter. The filter factor varies according to how the filter is rotated and its orientation to the sun.
The reputation of B+W's Schott glass is world renowned. The high production standards combined with a sturdy brass filter ring make B+W filters hard to beat. These filters have a "heft" to them that is impressive. They may feel heavier but the benefit is in the construction and results. Not only is the glass exceptional but so is the seal between the ring and glass. Schott Glass used in the manufacture of this filter is legendary and synonymous with the highest standards of filter production. It comes with a solid 10-year warranty.
Note! Circular polarizers are specifically designed for use with auto-focus SLR cameras (They will also work on manual systems without problems)

Comments about B+W 62mm Kaeseman Circular Polarizing Multi-Resistant Coating (MRC) Filter:
I use circular polarizers every day for my outdoor shots, even on overcast days, as I like the rich colours one gets when one cuts out the glare. I have just upgraded from my cheaper filters to the B+W ones, and it seems a good choice. I like the robust rings. The quality of the shots seems to be better than the ones with my other polarizer (although I have not compared them side to side).

Comments about B+W 62mm Kaeseman Circular Polarizing Multi-Resistant Coating (MRC) Filter:
MRC (Multi-Resistant Coating) by B+W is not only an extraordinarily effective multiple layer coating, it is also harder than glass, so that it protects filters from scratches (for instance when cleaning the filters), and it is also water and dirt repellent, thus facilitating filter maintenance.

I bought this polarizer for use on the beach, so good build was an important consideration. I have several other B+W filters, never been disappointed.

Comments about B+W 62mm Kaeseman Circular Polarizing Multi-Resistant Coating (MRC) Filter:
This is similar to the B+ W filter I have for my 72mm, with which I've been very happy. This time I paid the extra $10 or so dollars to get the Kaeseman version, as it provides a better seal for extreme weather conditions. Although I don't need that now there may be times when I will be photographing in very hot and humid environments, such as on a boat in the tropics, and thought it was better to have that extra seal than not.

Nice rotating circular polarized filter. Mostly used for landscapes and bright days. One thing I like is the filter fits a lens cap; my last one didn't. Provides deep colors and is easy to adjust.
