The B&W 67mm Kaeseman Circular Polarizing Multi-Resistant Coating (MRC) Filter is constructed from select polarizer foils and especially prepared optical glass. Kaeseman ("encased") filters are completely edge-sealed for maximum durability under extreme climatic conditions.
Polarizing filters are used to select which light rays enter your camera lens. They can remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water or glass and also saturate colors providing better contrast. The effect can be seen through the viewfinder and varied by rotating the filter. The filter factor varies according to how the filter is rotated and its orientation to the sun.
The reputation of B+W's Schott glass is world renowned. The high production standards combined with a sturdy brass filter ring make B+W filters hard to beat. These filters have a "heft" to them that is impressive. They may feel heavier but the benefit is in the construction and results. Not only is the glass exceptional but so is the seal between the ring and glass. Schott Glass used in the manufacture of this filter is legendary and synonymous with the highest standards of filter production. It comes with a solid 10-year warranty.
Note! Circular polarizers are specifically designed for use with auto-focus SLR cameras (They will also work on manual systems without problems)

The Kaeseman line of B+W polarizers are excellent photographic tools. Outstanding optics, MRC glass coatings and weather-sealed edges make for the best circular polarizer money can buy. And in case you weren't certain on this, yes, you do still need these with a digital camera. Glare is glare, whether it's being recorded on film or a sensor. It still must go, and nothing banishes glare better than a polarizer. Why this polarizer? Because, if you're smart, you invested your precious money in the best lenses you could afford. Why would you want to go cheap now and put a substandard piece of glass on the end of it? Relative to your lenses, this is a small investment, but one that will return huge benefits. It will last a lifetime if you take care of it, and will improve your photos no end. Don't consider anything less.

Honestly I thought this filter would be the best buy simply because of the high quality it said to offer. I purchased it to use with my 100mm L macro lens, but it gets stuck quite frequently on the lens and I have to use a rubber band to get it off. I think the ring that has the filter threads is too thin because there's hardly anything to grab onto to try and spin it off the lens.
I wouldn't buy a Kaeseman again. Not worth the high cost.

Comments about B+W 67mm Kaeseman Circular Polarizing Multi-Resistant Coating (MRC) Filter:
I use polarizing filters almost all the time to enrich colours in my outdoor shots. This one is as the other reviews say: good quality glass and a nice solid ring although the inner one is a wee bit thin and so can be hard to grasp to get off the rubber hood. I usually have to take both off, separate them, and then put the filter back on the lens. However, this is not such a problem compared to the benefits a polarizer bring!
The effect on the shots does seem to be better than the cheaper filter I've used for years, although I have not compared them side to side.

Comments about B+W 67mm Kaeseman Circular Polarizing Multi-Resistant Coating (MRC) Filter:
A pola filter is in my opinion an indispensable part of any photog's kit.
This B+W pola filter is simply the best available, it is sealed at the edges which means it will not separate over time preventing moisture damage, the multi-coating guarantees a sharp reflection free image.
No point in having expensive glass if you are going to put poor quality filters in front of it.

I am replacing my filters with B+W filters and buying new B+W filters for my new lenses. These filters are in a class of their own -- they screw in precisely, an with this polarizer, the action of the filter is very smooth. Haven't used it yet -- can't wait!

Much better that slim version. Only need slim version on very wide lens and full frame sensor. Have had trouble getting slim polarizers of lenses, these are much better.
This polarizer seems about a 1/2 stop darker that others I have used.

Comments about B+W 67mm Kaeseman Circular Polarizing Multi-Resistant Coating (MRC) Filter:
A CP is a must have filter. I have bought a few B&W Circular Polarizers and just love the quality from this brand. I bought a Hoya CP and unfortunately they installed the glass backwards. I used it like that for quite a while when I realized it was not doing a very good job removing reflections. I found a simple test to know if your CP glass was installed correctly. Hold the filter in your hands as if you were the camera sensor and look through the filter at your computer monitor. When you turn the filter the screen should go black, if it doesn't than look at it backwards, if it turns black than you know it was installed incorrectly. I've never had this problem with B&W.

Comments about B+W 67mm Kaeseman Circular Polarizing Multi-Resistant Coating (MRC) Filter:
The colors from pictures I take with this polarizer are outstanding, and that's what I'd expect from the price.
On the downside, I find it quite impossible to keep it squeaky clean, unlike regular UV filters. Smears tend to spread when I try to wipe them off. I've gotten this polarizer stuck a couple times while stacking filters, but so far it has come off safely. The filter ring that screws on is tiny compared to the rotating ring.

Comments about B+W 67mm Kaeseman Circular Polarizing Multi-Resistant Coating (MRC) Filter:
I bought this particular filter due to its moisture and dirt resistance, since I take a lot of landscape photos. I've used many other circular polarizers and been very happy with them, except that occasionally splashes of water from rain and dew, tended to leave marks on the lens that were either difficult or impossible to remove. Also this filter is well sealed agains intrusions that might damage the foils within the polarizer elements. So far, this filter has been a wise investment.
