I really do like this tank because of it's durability. Is keeps the water and the chemecals in the tank without any spillage. I also like stainless steel tanks because because these are more stronger than plastic tanks;for example if it falls down the lid wont pop off like plastic tanks and expose your unprocessed prints. And given the name "staneless" you always have a shiny and clean tank which you can label with ease. This comes in really handy when I am in an open lab for Black and White Photography, with other people around me with the same tank- it's easy to know which one is mine because it can be neatly labeled. If you are a photography major, I would recommend this tank, you really do get your money's worth!

I ended up buying a Hewes SS reel and I got the film on the first time, no problem. Hewes are, by far, the best sturdiest reel out there. Unfortunately they are kind of pricey, so I bought one and use these cheap ones as space holders in the tank.

Comments about General Brand Stainless Steel Tank, Plastic Lid for 2-35mm:
I use this tank for inversion processing of Black and White 120/220 film. I do not, however, use a reel; instead I use the apron from an old Kodak kit that is much easier to load. The tank and lid are wonderfully tight, so there is no leakage of either chemistry or light.
It would be nice, however, if some indication of the chemistry amount required for each film size were provided.

Does it leak in light? NO!
Does it leak out liquid? NO!
Twice as good and half as cheap as my last 35mm tank

I am the chemist at a big motion picture laboratory, but to experiment in a new process, I have to develop tests by hand.
This tank, and the two 35mm reels I bought for it, are the right tool for this testing.
As a professional with over 35 years experience I can say the quality of the tank and the reels is excellent, beyond what the price would suggest.

Tank worked fine for me. Fits two 35mm hewes reels in it just fine. Lid comes off easily and developed my film just fine. Good price, good product.

Right now I use this product to develop 35mm and maybe it is because I only have one reel in it, but it leaks a fair amount to be annoying when agitating. Easily solved with a towel, but ehh.. It's a cheap tank and you get what you pay for, I kinda don't mind for now.

I obviously use this to develop film. In using it to develop my 120 film I have found that it leaks. I make every effort to make sure it is properly sealed but it still leaks.Still not sure I can rule out user error.

Does exactly what it needs to do. Leaks a little bit, but so do the more expensive tanks. Great price, good quality.

Nothing more to say then it is a good solid tank. I started on plastic and moved up to these, never went back. They have given me a much better quality development and they don't leek or crack. On top of all that I appreciate the compact size compared to most plastic tanks.

I am more of a jobo fan. This tank and reel set-up is more difficult than jobo reels.

A good solid tank. I have a few of them and have always been happy with them. Better than the plastic ones because they don't crack.
