One of my lenses was missing a cap, which was a shame because I kept worrying about getting it scratched...I came to B&H to buy something else, but the associate saw my "naked" lens and suggested the snap-on cap. It was very inexpensive (about [$] bucks) and works just as the well as the Nikon one.Thanks, B&H

I use this on a nifty fifty. It is great at covering the lens but it has a lip on it that catches everything and subsequently fall off the lens. I would pay the difference for the manufacturers brand.

I lost the original lens cap that came with my camera and the named-brand model was hard to find. In addition, if one was located, I felt it was overpriced. This cap does the job perfectly and it's so inexpensive, you may want to purchase more than one - just to have a spare!

Lost the cap for my Nikon and they were able to match the lens size and give me the option for a more expensive Nikon cap or this one. This saved me money and fits the lens tightly so it won't fall off so easy.

It's a good cap. Its spring is a little tighter than original one. It doesn't have a 'Nikon' text on it and thus costs less. Buy it.
