B+W 105mm Screw-In Wide Angle Metal Lens Hood #970
Lens hoods are primarily designed to prevent unwanted stray light from entering the lens by extending and shading the end of the lens. In addition, since the end of the lens is extended you also get the added benefit of some extra protection from accidental impact.
The B+W #920 wide-angle metal lens hood is made of black-anodized aluminum with light-absorbing flat black ribs on the inside and protects against contrast-reducing, uncontrolled, stray light. It is designed for wide-angle (zoom) lenses with angles of view up to 70° wide (approx. 28mm in 35mm format).

This thing will do what it is supposed to do, but don't plan on attaching it to the circular polarizer on the front of your Lee Wide Angle square filter holder. Even with just two filter slots, the polarizer, and this product in place, I'm getting vingetting at about 20mm on my 5DMK11.

I use this on a Nikon f 3.5 28mm PC lens. The original hood is no longer made. I am stepped up to avoid vignetting when the lens is shifted
