The Tamrac 153 World Correspondent's Vest, X-Large (Black) is constructed of 100% cotton that is washable with less than 5% shrinkage and has nylon mesh vents for ventilation. It has lots of convenient pockets and is appropriate for almost any photographic assignment. There are ten pockets on the front of the vest that allow for any photographic situation. During hot weather, two zipper vented mesh pockets open to provide cooling ventilation. Four touch fastener closing patch pockets provide fast access and are large enough for nearly any accessory. Two zippered side pockets give the photographer secure space for film and accessories. Two hand warmer pockets can also be used to hold keys, coins, etc. Three more pockets can be found on the inside of the vest. Two large pockets close with a touch fastener, while one closes with a zipper to secure valuables. A large, roomy touch fastener closing pocket can be found on back and discreet vented back panels provide flow through ventilation without looking like a mesh vest. Side tabs are provided so the vest can be adjusted for a custom fit.

Comments about Tamrac 153 World Correspondent's Vest, X-Large (Black):
Perfect vest for everyday photography. Plenty of durable pockets (hidden as well as easy access ones). Fits well and there is enough flat space on the back if you want to put a logo on it (which was my criteria).

The pix of the vest makes it look finer than it really is. It feels cheap - for [$], I would have expected more durability. Anything of metal - coins included in your pocket is going to tear through. Not the Tamrac quality I am used to. [...]

Comments about Tamrac 153 World Correspondent's Vest, X-Large (Black):
I've been non-critical when it comes to vests when the time came to needing one, I made lotsa R&D about them. When I finally chose this one, I was surprised how thin it was. Overall it is of high quality, very breathable, and light. The pockets are aplenty and they don't droop when filled (which shows how strong the materials are). My only gripe is that I feel it is a bit over sized. I am usually XXL this one looks a bit borrowed when on me. Nonetheless, very comfortable and useful. I shoot with my new Varizoom DV Media Rig and the waist strap/absorber bar fits perfectly at the vest's opening -- GREAT! When I do photography, I can have two DSLRs on me (and a lens or two in the pockets) securely.
I'm never shooting without it again!

Comments about Tamrac 153 World Correspondent's Vest, X-Large (Black):
I purchased this for an outdoor photography workshop and was not disappointed. The vest has 14 different pockets which allows you to organize your gear and have it at hand when needed. The two large interior pockets are able to hold a short or medium zoom and a macro lens easily. Outside pockets are great for holding filters, cables, flashes, light meter, memory cards, cell phones, business cards, etc. The back pocket can hold a thin rain poncho, or gloves and a hat.
The only complaint is that empty the fabric makes the vest pretty heavy, and with all of this carrying ability, you can weigh yourself down pretty easily. It pulls down on your shoulders and can start to fatigue. Also, as it is cotton, it absorbs moisture quickly, so it can get and stay very wet very quickly.
Also, make sure you take the time to make a plan for how you load your vest. Memorize which pockets you have used for what gear and always consistently place gear in the same spot. If not, you will spend a lot of time searching for things.
