These all aluminum stands are super-durable, super-sturdy and easy to move around. I use them to support a glidetrack with two digital juice ballmount on top of them and I can lift the whole unit and move it easily. beware, the top 5/8" adapters are rather short. I needed to buy additional adapters so that my ballmounts would fit on here.

Using these to beef up the Elinchrom "To Go" kit stands - in fact replace them as the kit stands seem a bit weak if a boom is attached to them. The upside is the kit stands are perfectly fine for backdrop supports, so it's all good in the end. ;-)

The only thing that would make them better, and 5 stars, would be air-cushioning.

I purchased this Avenger stand because I needed something that folds compactly, is mobile, is lightweight (in comparison to a chrome steel c-stand), AND satsifies the weight requirements of my Avenger D600 Mini Boom Arm and a light source.

This is a very sturdy stand and holds up to 19.8 pounds. The stand and the specs are perfect for my needs. Anohter quality product from Avenger. Look no further.

I have the QSC I82-H speakers. They are a small low profile speaker. A speaker stand is bigger than the speaker. I found these stands and they are perfect to have a low profile speaker and stand to use in museums. They are strong enough to lift the speakers and keep them in place. It gets plenty high enough. They pack down into a super small package. LOVE THEM!

I bought the Avenger because I heard it mentioned in a video (I think it was Zack Arias' One-Light DVD). This is a nice stand that is lightweight for it's size. As a beginner with lighting, I was surprised at the size. We all know how high 10.8' is, but man... when you extend this thing it seems gigantic. So far, I really like it.

I use this stand mainly for an Alien Bee light. It works perfectly in my studio and on location. It seems to be pretty durable and is very easy to use. In very windy situations you will need someone to hold it so it doesn't fall over.

Sounds corny to refer to a light stand this way but, if you've ever worked with flimsy stands you'll know where I'm coming from on this. This is well worth the money! I use it to hold continuous and strobe lights, modified backdrops, or offset arms.

Until you feel it in your hand it's hard to appreciate its sturdiness and ease of use. It's tall too!

i'm really happy with it. its much lighter. the staff didnt know about this one, because its not a floor model and they kept suggesting a manfrotto, but the manfrotto have a 4 foot minimum height. a bit too high for sitting interviews.

It is weird to be writing a review about a stand but this stand is a joy to use right out of the box. A great medium duty everyday stand will also work with booms etc. It seems to be a perfect balance of weight, hight, footprint, ease of use and strength I have a few and would like a few more.

I loved these stands from the moment I took them out of the box and installed the Manfrotto wheels. They are very easy to setup and adjust very smoothly.

I've only used this light stand a few times so far (for video production lighting), but it works great! It's not air cushioned, so you have to be careful to never let it drop suddenly while a light is attached, but I think that's probably wise even if it is air cushioned.

I've been using the small, portable fold up stands as recommended by strobist. This came recommended by OneLight. It is much more solid. Much larger. Much taller. I'm considering a couple more of these for background holders.
