I bought this as extra protection for my camera as I traveled to Europe without a dedicated camera bag. It worked great stuffed in my daybag. I have a Canon 60D w/ 118-135 kit lens and it fits perfectly. I can't imagine a 7" lens fitting in this. My set up is about as large as you could fit in this cover.
- the strap and clips: I have not found a use for them yet, but I wouldn't trust the plastic clips. I'm not sure I trust where the strap attaches to the rest of the neoprene cover.
- I would like to see some sort of handle, but understand that this would be difficult for the reversible feature.

The cover works great with my Canon 5D and 24-105 mm f4 lens, but this is by far the biggest (or longest) lens you can fit in this cover. The fit with this combination of body and lens is very snug, almost to the point when I wish it was less snug. Canon 70-200 mm f4 lens will NOT fit in this cover even with smaller DSLRs than Canon EOS 5D. I wish the product description provided more accurate information since it claims to be suitable for telephoto lens.

I'm using it for protection in my backpack. There's an inch or so space left with my Nikon 28mm-300m lens.

I've 2 of these (Large SLR and Large Zoom SLR). They fit my D90 like gloves! Great alternative to big bulky bags as I can put my camera in regular handbags

Comments about Zing Designs Large Zoom SLR Reversible Camera Cover (Gray):
I carry several cameras in the same large bag. This protective cover provides the necessary cushioning to keep it's Nikon D90 with 18-200 mm lens isolated from the other items I carry. A little tricky at first to place the camera into the cover, but after a few uses, you get the hang of it.

The cover provides decent padding and is OK if you want to take your camera out without a bag. there are gaps where it closes so dont rely on it to keep sand, soot, or moisture.
