On the advice of various online forums (search Grado SR-xxx and HD414) I decided to try these earpads as a lower cost substitute for the stock ones that are available thru Grado. At first glance the pads look too small to fit my SR-60s...however, carefully pulling these pads over the phone rim resulted in good oem-like fit. At first listen, this pad is much more comfortable than the stock black (doughnut hole) ones that since have degraded into a crumbly mess. This yellow foam has less dense build than the stock ones (which seems to contribute to the comfort factor) so each individual's durablity mileage will vary upon use. Some others may want mod these pads to suit there sonic tastes--read up :)

I was told that they would sound better. I'm not really sure if they do. The sound is comparable while the comfort is slightly lower.

I am not sure why it took my long to get these replacement cushions. While I LOVE my Grados SR225i's, I always get sore ears within an hour as the ear pads weren't big enough. A quick side note is if you're going to get some headphones, get any Grados that you can afford--definitely worth it. While it is yellow, I don't mind. In summary, get these if you're looking for some great pads that will allow you to listen longer with your Grados.

I actually used these for my grado labs SR80 head phones whose ear pads had terribly crumbled (and where never that comfortable to start with).
These replacement ear pad (although not meant for my headset) did a marvelous job, they are comfortable and fit well. The yellow also looks kinda cool :)

I bought these earpads as an alternative to my Grado SR80's to see if they provide more comfort without compromising sound quality. I think they give a bit more comfort than the original but not that much, without compromising the sound.

These replacement foam ear pads are great for my 35 year old Sennheisers. These are my second set of repalcements as the foam falls to bits after 15 years or so . These are genuine Sennheiser pads so fit the phones perfectly. Now I can enjoy using my HD414's for another fifteen years !

I've had my HD-414 Sennheiser Headphones since I first used them as radio DJ 30 years ago. I replaced the original headphone pads once from Sennheiser some years ago, but I needed to replace my 2nd pair of earpads. I found these earpads from B&H to be exactly the same as the original Sennheiser earpads. What I like about these headphones is that they are very light in weight, they aren't heavy at all and the foam earpads are very comfortable. I currently use these headphones to listen to Pandora on my laptop at work and these earpads are so comfortable I can wear these headphones all day long.

I purchased a couple of pairs of these ear pads for my Grado SR 80 headphones. They fit perfectly and have no effect on the sound quality of the headphones. As others have stated - yellow was not my primary color choice but the cost difference (Grado pads) prevailed.

Although I love Sennheiser headphones, my current favorite pair of cans is the Grado SR60, which I use daily at the office. However, the foam earpads have worn down to the bare mesh and are literally crumbling before my eyes. I could spend $15 for a new pair of Grado pads, but having done some research online, I found that the Sennheiser pads not only fit, but are more durable. When they arrived, I put them on and it's like new again. The only minus is the bright yellow stands out like a sore thumb, but other than that, they are the perfect replacement for my Grados.

Bought these to do a reverse quarter mod on my SR-60i Grado headphones. I'm not a fan of the original S-Cush Grado pads, and had heard these 414's were softer. They are, but not by much.

I replaced the pads on my Grado RS1's for a fraction of the cost of OE pads. These fit perfectly!
These are comfy enough, and the bright yellow is the next best thing to having racing stripes on my headphones :)
I may cut the centers out, mimicking the original pads, as that may enhance comfort a little.
