Sand bags come in a variety of shapes and weights. They are used for securing the bases of light stands and set walls. Many have handles, for hanging on hooks or risers. Some have two wings, to allow draping over light stand legs.
Most are cordura nylon, some are vinyl covered and waterproof.
Some models of sandbags are shipped empty, for convenience and economy. They can be filled with sand, or any type of weight you provide, and emptied for storage, or transport.

Comments about Delta 1 Cordura Heavy Sand Sack:
Good price, does what it should. Not much else to say about a sandbag, but the price is right.

Comments about Delta 1 Cordura Heavy Sand Sack:
We use the product to anchor canopies we use for information booths across campus the first week of school. The sandbags are easy to use and east to transport. The canopy legs slide into the middle of the bags easily and they anchor well. They are sturdy and do exactly what we need.

Comments about Delta 1 Cordura Heavy Sand Sack:
The price and design is right, but the stitching, which attaches the handle to the sack, is too weak to stand up to long-time abuse and is slowly being ripped apart from the sack. After moderate use I will now have to replace it with a higher-quality product.

Comments about Delta 1 Cordura Heavy Sand Sack:
I use this to steady C-stands with still-photo strobes and big parabolic reflectors - perfect size and weight and the price is right. Shot bags with stainless shot are of course much preferred, but for someone with lighter-duty needs on a budget, this bag fills the bill.

Comments about Delta 1 Cordura Heavy Sand Sack:
I thought about making my own heavy sack but I am glad I did not. These sacks are very well made with double zippers and tight stitching. I filled mine with sand have had no leaks. The strap has a clasp so it can be wrapped easily around a tripod. It seems the price for bags like this are higher than they should be.

I will be using this product to weigh down lighting stands. The bags look durable and should last. The 25 lb bags only weighed out at 15 lbs with sand.

Comments about Delta 1 Cordura Heavy Sand Sack:
These durable sand bags are not only for holding down your photographic equipment. When my neighbors furniture flew off his 9th floor terrace I knew it was time to look for something that could keep my patio furniture in place on those windy days without being an eye sore when not in use. These things really do the trick and have kept my furniture out of the street and me out of hot water!!
