It uses the 3/8" quick disconnect system for added adjustability. It has a weight reduction system that makes cameras and binoculars feel 50% lighter and 100% more comfortable.

I have used the OPTECH straps on multiple SLRs - both film and digital for years. I like the fact that they are comfortable, interchangeable, and when you put the camera on a tripod, you can remove the strap, and you can connect the 2 loose connector ends together and make a small "handle" to carry your camera with. I use the 3/8 connectors for a Pentax KX and they seem to work pretty well. Get this type strap for a small SLR like the KX, Rebel etc. Get the Pro strap for bigger SLRS. Also, it's best to check the OPTECH website to see which connector ends best fit your particular camera. I use 3 different types, depending on the camera.
