Remember the Essentials
A speed ring is required and not included with this unit. Remember to get the best type of speed ring for the light you are using. If you plan on using it with multiple lights we recommend the adjustable speed ring.
The Medium Super Pro Plus is designed for use with a strobe. With fabric not intended for the heat of a continuous light, the Medium Super Pro Plus with silver interior is ideal for work where medium softening of flash is desired. The light quality from this softbox will be slightly more contrasty than that produced by a Super Pro Plus with white interior.
The "Plus" designation of this softbox means the front face of the softbox is removable. This softbox comes with a one stop diffuser, but a 1/2 or 1/4 grid cloth may be purchased separately. These would allow more light transmission and help to make the light more specular, or "less soft."
- Ideal for 3/4 length portraits of 2 or 3 adults.
- Recessed front controls light spill and allows attachment of an optional fabric grid.
- Required Speed (mounting) Rings are available separately for many manufacturers' strobes.

Use this softbox with my Elinchrome Rangers (400ws) I have only done a couple tests shots with this so far but in my studio with both diffusing panels attached my little rangers do the trick ! Very consistent light! Will be using on location mostly !

The light coming out of this softbox is beautiful. It's versatile for all kinds of projects and assignments. The best part is that it is not specific to any light source. With the correct speed ring, you can use almost anything with it (except hot lights). It is very sturdy when set up. It is bigger than it looks, so be mindful when planning purchases for your studio space or location shoot. I can't recommend it enough, and my happy clients are all the justification I need for this purchase. Just buy one already.
