A speed ring is required and not included with this unit. Remember to get the best type of speed ring for the light you are using. If you plan on using it with multiple lights we recommend the adjustable speed ring.
The Chimera Pro Plus Strip Softbox is designed for use with a strobe. With fabric not intended for the heat of a continuous light, the Plus Strip comes standard with a white interior and a recessed, removable front face, which provides more control of light than a box with a flush front.
The "plus" designation means the front face may be removed. A 1/2 or 1/4 strength fabric could be used instead, for slightly more light transmission and less of a softening effect.
- The large size provides photographers with the ultimate solution for lighting tall people evenly for full body fashion or portrait applications.
- A softbox with a white interior provides a softer light than a box with a silver interior.
- Required Speed (mounting) Rings are available separately for many manufacturers' strobes.

You can achieve lighting effects with this instrument that are unique. There's no better way to light a large group of people or precisely gradate a background. It is a [*]to get on the speed ring, however. That's the price of admission.

This is a great product. It produces great light and an even better effect with the grid. I have a couple of problems with it though. It's hard to put together, but much harder to take apart. I've already snapped one of the rods and I've only had it for a few months. If you can't travel with it fully assembled, prepare to put on a show when it's time to tear down.
