This bag has no real padding, but it is really not intended to. If you wanted a padded case, look at a system case. If you are looking for a lightweight case to carry your light stands and gear at a good price, look here.
One thing to keep in mind-this is a very long bag. Make sure you realize how long it is-there are other bags that are not as long

it's hard to say its a bad product. It does not cost much and for a starter that needs to transport a couple of stands and some small stuff its great. but if you carry heavier stuff close your eyes and spend the money on a real bag. you can pack it with 6-7 stands if needed, there is enough space! but the bag won't hold them long. especially not if used every day.
the shoulder straps are worth nothing: when heavy they get loose.
if you plan to carry heavy stuff (you can if you want, there is enough room!) then put at least a wood panel on the bottom. that way the bag won't flex and won't get ripped open by your equipment.
I would buy it again IF I don't have the money for a real bag.

Comments about Photoflex Transpac Outbound Bag:
Solid construction. Zippers are heavy duty. Good handles and straps. Lots of room for 4 light wight stands, one boom and stand, and one reflector holder. Also three soft boxes (16x16" x 2 and 24"x24") and misc clamps.

I knew this was big, I just didnt know how big. I have 2 heavy duty stands a strip box and a 72" octobox and i would have no problem putting 2 strobes in there... if there was padding or foam.

Bought this for a shoot where i knew i was going to have to walk quite a bit and it paid off. Makes it so much easier to carry multiple stands at 1 time. I wanted to get the larger size but all the larger ones are unavailable, which leaves me to, this is the biggest size i could get and i am very happy with the product.

Comments about Photoflex Transpac Outbound Bag:
This bag is exactly what I wanted. It is well made for a $50-ish bag and it hold my largest Manfrotto boom light stands plus my huge Octa large softbox and some other stuff. I am sure I could stuff a couple more smaller light stands in there as well. Handles, shoulder strap and side pocket are all great. That side pocket will hold smaller light stands or large-ish modifiers.
No, it's not padded, but it works fine. Don't expect a $300 bag, duh. But I would say expect an $80 to $120 bag even though it costs much less. If you are hard on your stuff or really want a padded bag, maybe look elsewhere. If you take decent care of your stuff and want a durable back to carry and organize it, give this one a shot. I like it and would buy it again.
One thing, not bad, just curious. One side is made of different material. The only reason I can figure for this is that it is the side that would rub against your leg as you carry the bag, and therefore that side is smoother material for less fritcion as your leg rubs against it. Who knows?

I use this bag to carry my light stands, umbrellas, PLM's and tripod and still have room for more stuff. Outside compartment holds all sorts of misc stuff. Great bag!

Comments about Photoflex Transpac Outbound Bag:
This bag has no padding, but that is what I want - more space for my gear. Roomy side pocket holds two large softboxes, main compartment holds three heavy-duty lightstands, two large halfdomes plus an extra-large softbox. There is even room for a 6x12 black velvet fabric as well. Zippers are strong. I like this bag. It fits nicely in my Accord trunk.

I use this bag for my 9.5' light stands. It is the perfect size, with a nice zippered compartment on the side for "extras". Very easy to carry and transport.

lot's of room, seems well made, like the extra outside pockets, very lightweight. No padding, but I wasn't looking for one like that

I use this to hold full size Avenger stands (4), reflector holders (5) and umbrellas (4) in the side pocket.
The seems on my original bag started to come apart (after years of use) so I wanted to replace it with a new one. The new one is smaller and won't hold the same amount of gear...

Comments about Photoflex Transpac Outbound Bag:
I use this bag to carry only lightstands, tripods, and the occasional softbox/octobox with other random clips, cables and accessories. As reflected by other reviews it is a soft, unstructured bag that is quite large and versatile, however it is best to refrain from overpacking and overweight, lopsided packing. However, despite the unstructured composition of this bag, it is great for what it does and especially the price. I really wanted the Transpac Dual Kit case, but didn't feel like dropping the $200+ on it. Overall the Transpac Outbound bag is an excellent value and an excellent performer at this price point. I would recommend this bag.

Comments about Photoflex Transpac Outbound Bag:
Recently purchased the Transpac Outbound Bag to carry a pair of constant light setups for a small portrait shoot. Needed to carry 2 stands, tripod, softboxes, etc. Got everything to fit into the bag with no problems. You can almost put too much into it and really weigh it down.
PROS:
- Ample space for couple light stands, tripod, and supporting gear
- Professional look
- Double pockets very handy
- Very sturdy construction
CONS:
- Can stuff too much and make bag very heavy (user CON moreso than product)
- Would be nice to have smaller pockets for power cords, etc
Overall: If you have large light stands and need to move them, this is a solid choice.

Comments about Photoflex Transpac Outbound Bag:
I wasn't expecting a whole lot from this bag for the price, but was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. The construction is solid, has a small amount of padding (maybe 1/4") in the ends, big heavy duty zippers, and lots of room.
I have 2 x 11' air cushioned light stands, a 4' background light stand, a boom arm (3 sections) with stand, 2 x umbrellas, wheels for the boom stand, gaffer's tape, ball bungees, bag of brass adapters, etc. And I probably still have room for at least one or two more light stands...
I'll warn you though, after loading all that in there, the bag is really freakin' heavy.
This is a very good deal, if you don't need a ton of padding, and want something that you can stash all your gear in.

Comments about Photoflex Transpac Outbound Bag:
Almost too big! I can fit enough stuff in it that it gets too heavy to be manages with the handles/straps. I got a second because I felt I was overloading it. Could carry 3-4 light stands & 3-4 umbrellas/softboxes + tripod with ease + a lot of clamps/etc. Can pack a single 2 speed-light kit in the bag and have a grab-and-go kit. Feel that this is more of an around-the-town type bag and not something to fly or seriously transport gear in all the time, but for the price it is outstanding

I just bought this bag to haul my light stand, umbrella and other odds and ends. It is very durable and made of high quality material.
I absolutely love that it fits everything! I shoved not only the above mentioned things but also two tripods and my reflector with room to spare.
Great value, high quality, easy to lug around bag!

Comments about Photoflex Transpac Outbound Bag:
I bought this bag as a carrying bag for my umbrellas, light stands, softboxes, reflectasol, and other lighting gear. I didn't need the bulk and extra cost of a padded bag. The quality of the bag is high and I like that it is quite long to accommodate some of my longer items.
I liked this bag so much that I just bought a second one!
