The B+W 37mm UV Haze SC 010 Filter is a general use, clear filter that helps to absorb ultraviolet light and reduce the bluish cast of daylight. No additional coloration or contrast is provided, allowing you to pair this filter with others.
The UV filter is also useful as a general protective filter to leave on lenses at all times. Filters help to reduce dust and moisture from reaching your lens element and provide additional protection in case of drops or situations where scratching could occur.
B+W filters are constructed from high quality Schott glass for increased optical clarity and color fidelity. They feature a brass filter ring for durability as well as jamming prevention.

Comments about B+W 37mm UV Haze SC 010 Filter:
I use this almost all the time on my Olympus 45mm f1.8 lens for MFT to protect the front of the lens. Since it becomes in essence part of the optics, I think a higher quality filter like this is better than a cheaper filter.

Comments about B+W 37mm UV Haze SC 010 Filter:
I have only used it for one week now, but it seems excellent. It fit smoothly on my Olympus 4/3 lens and doesn't appear to have any problems with internal reflection. It was less expensive than other brands of similar quality.

Comments about B+W 37mm UV Haze SC 010 Filter:
The build quality blows brands like Tiffen and Hoya away. It makes no sense to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on lenses only to skimp on the filter that protects them. If you want to save $, brown bag it and ride a bike. But if you want to feel assured your glass is protected B+W is the only way to go[...] B+W is synonymous with quality.

Comments about B+W 37mm UV Haze SC 010 Filter:
I purchased this filter to protect a Canon HF M31 camcorder (B&H # CAHFM31).
A choice was made years ago to use only B+W filters on our photographic equipment for a number of reasons, clear optics, brass mount/housing, built to last, and albeit not related directly to the product itself, a broad offering and in stock availability from B&H.

This fits perfectly on the Canon Vixia HG21 Video camera. Reduces haze and protects the lens. Can also stay on when the camera is off and the lens closes automatically.
