Smith-Victor ULM45 Umbrella and Light Mount (120V AC)
Screw-in slave flashes need this Smith-Victor ULM45 Umbrella and Light Mount . It features a standard Edison base thread socket with an 120V AC power line, a swivel for light angle adjustment, a receiver to mount an umbrella, and a 5/8" diameter receiver for fitting it to the top of a light stand. Besides slave flash the ULM-45 can be used for photofloods up to 500W.

I was not able to use this product because it is not intended for use with incadescent photoflood bulbs. I was allowed to return product for credit.

My son works as a video production assistant and I have been thinking a lot about posing subjects, after years doing mostly landscape and travel photography. He bought a set of lights, umbrellas and stands at a pawn shop. One of these mounts and flash sets was among the stuff and I found it fascinating. They give me an inexpensive and effective tool for practicing lighting techniques that have frustrated me for a long time.

I purchased these to replace the clamp on lights that will not stay where you place them. This is a great item! They are absolutely what the doctor ordered for small slave strobes and the 40watt reflector lights. Should have found then a long time ago.
