Funny enough, I never had any body caps because my used cameras never came with them. I picked up three. Two to be used for my cameras as per their usual functionality, and the third I modified so I could do digital pinhole photography. Just do a simple online search and you will see how a simple hole drilled in the cap and some aluminum foil with a pinhole poked through will give you a digital pinhole camera. That fact makes these body caps even more handy.

The original disappeared mysteriously a few weeks ago and I was relieved that I could replace it with a cap that fit the 5dM3 perfectly. Dust on the sensor makes life move more slowly, and since space restrictions force me to fly with the body and lens separate this will help a lot.
