Comments about Canon Extender Cap E II Front Cap for EF 1.4x & 2x Tele Extenders:
It may only be a front cap for a tele-converter, but trust me when I say that you can never have too many of these in the bag. I've lost several of these over the years either in the field on nature shoots or on location for commercial work and there is simply no substitute for protecting your tele-converter's forward element.
My rule of thumb is to use these for body caps on cameras too just so that I'll have an extra few laying around at all times. It seems to be out of stock pretty often, so if I need one, I buy two or three.

Comments about Canon Extender Cap E II Front Cap for EF 1.4x & 2x Tele Extenders:
The Canon tele extenders require a special front lens cap (Extender Cap E II); a very minor variation of the regular body cap. This can be quite frustrating if you have a bunch of caps - especially if you have different third party brands. An easy solution to this problem is to mark the cap so it can easily be spotted - a dab of paint. A suggestion for Canon - make this oddball cap in putty colored plastic - the color of their extenders. B&H sent me a Canon brand cap pronto - can't beat it.

Not much to be said about this: These caps are easy to lose. I bought 2 to cover me the next time I lose one!
