Comments about Samigon Multi-Format Autofeed Reel:
If you are a beginner to film developing, get this reel. Don't struggle trying to learn how to load other plastic or steel reels and waste film while trying. Once you start sweating in the changing bag, it's over. The wider flange and lock so close to the flange makes this effortless. Done in 20 seconds. No practicing for hours and still messing it up.

Comments about Samigon Multi-Format Autofeed Reel:
I was having a lot of trouble loading 120 film on standard Patterson reels. Loading on those reels took a lot of time and the film would often jump tracks. With a long loading tim in a dark bag, perspiration from my hands increased the humidity and getting moisture on the film, making it even harder to load.
In contrast, the wide flanged loading guide on the Samigon reel make it easy to load the film. In contrast to spending 10+ minutes trying to load film on standard reels, I can load with no problems in about 20 seconds with the Samigon reel.
Highly recommended!

Comments about Samigon Multi-Format Autofeed Reel:
I have used these before and found them easy to use, especially with reduced feeling in some fingers on the left hand. Great for different formats of negatives. Only minor drawback, they take a little while to airdry prior to storage.

Comments about Samigon Multi-Format Autofeed Reel:
This is utterly amazing. I wasn't completely sold on it initially in the store during a conversation with the sales rep. However, at [$] I figured 'why not?'. In the light, it doesn't seem much different than other products. However, when you're fumbling around in the dark, it really shines and makes your darkroom time that much quicker.

Comments about Samigon Multi-Format Autofeed Reel:
I use plastic reels and found these hands down to be the easiest to use. I've loaded hundreds of reels and still I turn to these as I seldom have a problem with them. They work great with both 35mm and 120. If you looking for a good reel, get these!

Comments about Samigon Multi-Format Autofeed Reel:
This plastic autofeed reel by Samigon is a great product to have. It is easy to load the film onto it in the dark and does not destroy film. Being made of plastic makes it more durable than steel reels in case of accidental bending or drop.

Comments about Samigon Multi-Format Autofeed Reel:
I was hesitant about buying these reels, it looks like the guides would scratch your film: They does not. No scratches with 35mm and 120 roll film.
They make life a bit easier on people developing 120 roll film. The guides help a lot. I am going to start replacing my regular reels with these.
Oh, I use them in a Paterson System 4 tank. Fits perfectly. I need to develop more then 1 reel at a time, and with 120 roll film, that rules out the Samigon/Omega tank.

Comments about Samigon Multi-Format Autofeed Reel:
While the Paterson plastic reels are easy to load, the Samigon reel is virtually fool-proof! I work almost exclusively with 120 and the larger guides make it much easier to get the film started than the smaller lip on the Paterson reel since the curl of the film is less problematic.
I'll never buy a Paterson reel again.

I use these reels for 35 mm, 120, and 220 film. They are the easiest loading reels by far and I have not experienced any of the problems I have had in loading other types of reels.

Comments about Samigon Multi-Format Autofeed Reel:
I use the fool-proof Samigon Autofeed reels primarly for the 120 & 220 formats. During the past 55+ years I have used many types of reels and also film developing aprons. At this point in time I'm proficient with most of the film developing reels currently available, including both past and present designs. Because of my experience I would rate the fool-proof Samigon Autofeed reels as being the easiest to use [especially for the casual user] with the possible exception of the old Kodak film aprons. Some people indicate they have problems with these reels, however their problems seem to arise from not properly drying the reels before use and not cleaning the reels properly. Good darkroom and developing procedures that include drying the reels after each use and keeping the reels clean takes only a few minutes but will assure a trouble free experience of loading and removing the film from the fool-proof Samigon Autofeed reels.
Comments about Samigon Multi-Format Autofeed Reel:
The wide flanges make loading easy. The bb's are stainless steel (not plastic like some other reels). Works great!
