Photographers Formulary Chromium Intensifier helps to increase the density of black and white negatives.

This is a proportional intensifier. The amount of intensification is somewhat proportional to the amount of silver originally present in the negative.
Negatives intensified with chromium are stable. The process is used in room light and must be redeveloped in a quick-acting print developer.
Chromium intensification is best used for increasing contrast since it has little effect on thin, shadow areas
Additional intensification may be obtained by repeating the process, however this also increases the risk of damage to the negative.
The two main ingredients in Chromium Intensifier, potassium dichromate and hydrochloric acid, are both toxic substances. Chemicals are used once and discarded.
Handle with protective gloves and respirator

Comments about Photographers' Formulary Chromium Intensifier for Black & White Film - Makes 2.75 Gallon:

I used the product strictly according to directions. Since I was using it owith T-Max film, it did not make any difference in my negatives, per proviso in literature that came with the product. I ordered the same company's silver intensifier from another vendor (B&H doesn't carry the silver) and had very good results. I would not recommend this product for use on T-Max film.
