It's an eyecup. It works. It fits my old Canon Rebel G that had gone without an eyecup for like five years. Then I decided it's time to be nice and give the old camera a replacement eyecup. The camera was grateful—so grateful it threw a party in my honor. The other guests included the nosecup, the pizza guy, and the very hot & gorgeous Canon 1D MarkIII which I've had my eye on for a while now. You don't want to know the rest.

The Canon Eb eyecup does exactly what it is intended to do, add a lille cushion between your eye and the view finder of your camera. This is the same eyecup that Canon includes with it's cameras.
Canon's design has one significant flaw; the eyecup does not securely attach to the camera. The eyecup has two small plastic tabs that hold it in place but a small amount of pressure allows the eyecup to slide right off of the camera. This is the reason I bought the eyecup in the first place as I have lost the both of the ones included with my 30D and Elan 7.

Comments about Canon Eyecup Eb:
I bought this eye cup as the original broke, one of the tabs broke to be exact. The big flaw is that the tabs are very delicate and easily break. I am sure I will be buying another in the near future. Although I would not recommend this product, you have no choice as from what I looked for, only Canon makes it.

Comments about Canon Eyecup Eb:
I purchased a 5D Classic that the previous owner had indicated had a tear in the rubber eyecup. Since the camera was going to be new to me, I wanted it to be perfect and ordered the eyecup from B&H Photo. The eyecup arrived 2 days before the camera that had been shipped prior to my order. It fit perfectly and I am very pleased with B&H. The shipping was free. There are only a small handful of camera supply companies that I would consider doing business with. B&H is at the top of the list for me.

Comments about Canon Eyecup Eb:
These small things tend to get loose after having the camera for a while. It fell off the trusty 20D, and it was much less comfortable to use the camera without the eyecup. It will fit my 40D as well, having one spare can help fix either body. Pricey for what it is, a piece of plastic with rubber padding.

I didn't really appreciate this simple little part on my camera until I lost it on a short disaster relief trip to Alabama in May of 2011. When I received the new eye cup, i was able to simply slide it into place on my camera with no effort. I am going to try really hard not to lose this one.

It's the first time I have to replace the eyecup of my backup camera, what can I say, it looks the same as the original.

By far the best eyecup I've ever used for the Canon 5D. It's also the only eyecup I've ever used for the Canon 5D.

I have a horrible issue of losing eyecups. Luckily the replacement ones are easy to come by. They do the same job as the originals, my only complaint is that they are a little expensive considering what they are.

These don't fit the cameras well. They come off very easily, especially when putting them in camera bags. I can't count the number of these that I've lost.

I have lost three because of shooting very aggressively. The eye cup has been knocked off and lost. It's too loose. I've considered 'super glue'

I had lost the original eye cup for my canon. This one went on easy and is just as good as the original. So far I have no complaints about it.

I had replaced the missing eyecup on my 30D with one from an old Rebel, even though it was a bit small. When that one broke, I ordered the correct size, & what a difference. It feels so much better to my face.
