When I got my first D20, I also ordered the eyecup extender for more comfort while shooting. Since then, I've ordered 2 more eyecups and a spare. It turns out that I have had then to slide off and get lost. They do not lock in losition. Now I pay closer attention to how I put the cameras in and out of my bag. Being that I wear glasses, I have to have the eyecup to protect my glasses. Now if I can just keep them on the camera.

The Canon Eb eyecup does exactly what it is intended to do, add a lille cushion between your eye and the view finder of your camera. This is the same eyecup that Canon includes with it's cameras.
Canon's design has one significant flaw; the eyecup does not securely attach to the camera. The eyecup has two small plastic tabs that hold it in place but a small amount of pressure allows the eyecup to slide right off of the camera. This is the reason I bought the eyecup in the first place as I have lost the both of the ones included with my 30D and Elan 7.

I have a horrible issue of losing eyecups. Luckily the replacement ones are easy to come by. They do the same job as the originals, my only complaint is that they are a little expensive considering what they are.

Bought to use on Digital Rebel. Its slightly wider than Digital Rebel's original eyecup and because of that limits access to camera's viewfinder dioptric adjustment knob. But I do not do adjustments very often, so the eyecup worked for me.
