I use this stand adapter to mount my Altman 1k scoop to a light stand. It tightens securely. Durrable contruction and adaptable design. Very happy.

TVMP yoke adapters are common items, but the E390 has several great features that make it stand out. I really like the large knob to securely fasten the adapter to a stand. The knob can inserted higher or lower to accommodate different types of 5/8" stands, or you can remove the knob and use the adapter in a junior stand. It is a good looking, well made and reasonably priced product.

I bought the Avenger TVMP over a Matthews TVMP because the Anenger stand adapter has a better knob and also a setscrew in the side to tighten it down on non-comforming stands. The Matthews does not have the setscrew and the tightening know is nowhere near as nice. The only the Matthews unit has over the Avenger is a 10 cent lockwasher, that you can get at any hardware store.

I buy used fresnel lights that come with c-clamps that used to hang in theatres on a pip. The TVMP adapters are much less expensive and more substantial than buying the original manufacturer's stand adapter.

I bought these adapters to allow me to mount Paul Buff monolights securely onto Avenger baby stands and booms. These monolights fit 5/8" studs that are typical of Manfrotto and other photo equipment, and the Avenger (movie industry) mounts are a little different. I added a custom 5/8" stud with 1/2"-13* screw thread to these adapters and they work very well. An alternative to the custom stud would be to use EZ-Lok 335-4 or 319-6 thread inserts to allow use of those 5/8" x 1-1/4" photo industry spigots.

A shortcoming of this adapter is the way the clamping screw is finished. The screw is ground to a taper at its end, and its hole is less than three threads deep. So when the clamping screw is backed out to un-mount the adapter, there is less than a full thread holding the two parts together. Be careful not to lose that knob!

Avenger doesn't provide information anywhere online regarding the screw threads, but they are 1/2"-13.

I've used two of these to adapt my yoke mount lights to be able to fit on a C-Stand. They are well made and not likely to malfunction over the course of their use. I removed the little set screw so it wouldn't get lost on location.

I used it to change out the C-clamp and now can mount a light fixture to a regular 5/8 baby stand.
NO WASHER is included.

I had to convert the yoke on this odd, no name 2k soft light from a 2" threaded pipe cap (!?) to accept the spud on my Avenger stands and it was the perfect solution. 2 pliers, 2 minutes and TahDAH; done.

Strong, easy to use, and pretty. Only done side is there isn't a catch system for when you're loosening the clamp. If you're not careful the handle will pop out.
