Remember the Essentials
A speed ring is required and not included with this unit. Remember to get the best type of speed ring for the light you are using. If you plan on using it with multiple lights we recommend the adjustable speed ring.
The Chimera Extra Small Daylight Junior Plus softbox is intended for the heat of a continuous light to 750 Watts. It may also be used with a strobe. The extra depth of the Daylight (about 30% deeper than the Video Pro Plus) allows the fresnel beam to spread out and cover the front face more evenly.
Its silver interior provides a more specular light quality with a faster gradation from highlight to shadow areas.
The "Plus" designation means you may remove the front face of the softbox if you like. This softbox comes standard with a one stop diffusion cloth. An additional 1/2 and 1/4 grid cloth is included. Substituting a half or quarter diffusion or taking off the interior baffle would result in even more contrast, slightly more light transmission, and less softening of the light.
- The recessed front face makes the soft source more directional, and enables the user to easily add the honeycomb grid, soft fabric grids or louvers.
- Required Speed (mounting) Rings are available separately for many manufacturers' lights.
- May be taken on location and set up quickly and easily.
- If you are using open-faced lights, the Video Pro Plus banks are a more cost effective solution.

Comments about Chimera Extra Small Daylight Junior Plus (Silver):
Used for still photography with Arri 300 tungsten. Kit comes with internal baffle to diffuse any effect of spotlight (though Arri can be set to flood to minimise the effect) and full, half and quarter stop filters. Made of very tough material as it is used with lights that get very hot. Great addition to my lighting kit. (Note you need matching Chimera speedring to suit your light)
