Designed by DP Bill Holshevnikoff for Chimera, these versatile patterns solve a difficult production problem: How to generate a variety of interesting lighting patterns easily with your existing fixtures?
The durable, lightweight Window Patterns work with Chimera Panel Frames to provide you with 12 new, quick-changing patterns for lighting interview backgrounds, annual reports and products.
Patterns available: French Door, Horizontal Blinds, Graduating Vertical Blinds, Palm Leaves, Leaf Breakup, Cucoloris Breakup, Domino, Columns, Open Window, Split Door, Sun Scratch and Half Dome.
A clear mylar pattern is also available for logos, etc.

Not all location sights are ideal. Truth be told, some are dull and blah. I'm using a variety of the Chimera Window Patterns to add some visual interest on walls behind the talent. I've borrowed the smallest Window Pattern Kit twice and determined it is better suited for very small areas requiring a pattern splash (i.e.--a small dining room table). This size pattern is more suitable for one, two or three talent shoots. The Horizontal Blinds is my "go to" pattern for most shoots when needed. There are several things I appreciate about Chimera products in general: 1) They are made with quality. 2) They are portable! I don't own a large grip truck, so I need to keep my lighting and grip kits portable for transport. The additional bonus is that they are also extremely portable to store in my home studio. 3) They are tried and tested to be safe. Years ago I considered these kits a luxury. And even though I don't use them frequently, when I do use them, I can't fathom getting by without them.

This gives GREAT patterns on backgrounds. You need to know that there are six parts to this set-up;
1. the 42x42 frame
2. the mask for the frame
3. the actual "cookie"
4. a device to hold the outter frame to a stand (don't worry about using two stands unless you're outdoors)
5. A moderately heavy duty stand
6. A light source WITH usable bard doors
