The Canon Ec-L Focusing Screen is an interchangeable focusing screen compatible with the pro Canon EOS 1 series (film and digital), EOS 3, and D2000 cameras. This matte screen features central cross-split image in the center, for accurate manual focusing. Ideal for use with lenses f/5.6 and faster.

Comments about Canon Ec-L Focusing Screen:
I bought this to use it on a Eos 1V whit primes. I have a 50mm Sigma 1.4 and the 35 1.4L.
When you have so shallow deep of field, it´s hard to get the focus right where you want.
The screen really works, and you can see perfectly the focus spot.
The downsides for me are that the center is rather small, and sometimes it´s difficult to see the cross split information, and I expected a more dramatic response from the screen when something if not on the focus you want.
However, it is great and highly recomendable !
