Elinchrom 27" Diffuser for Elinchrom Maxisoft
Parabolic "Pan" reflector with adjustable deflector shield for eliminating specular light from flashtube, and re-directing it back into reflector. Ideal for portrait and commercial photography where broad, soft, even lighting is required, but has more crispness than a softbox. Includes a silver deflector for neutral color balance, and a gold deflector for a warming effect.

Diffuser works great for softening the light from my 27" Elinchrom Maxisoft Beauty Dish. My only complaint would be the price/performance ratio for the diffuser. For a piece of diffusion fabric that fits over a beauty dish, [$] is a bit steep.

The 27 inch Maxisoft diffuser is known as a shower cap in the photo-video industy. It is a temperature resistant fabric "half bag" with elastic that fits over the front of the reflector to tone down its specularity. The diffuser is fully finctional with or without the silver or gold deflector in place, but best with a deflecter to make the light output more uniform.
The diffuser can be used over and over again and is much easier to use than is taping a diffusion filter over the front of the reflector. The fabric does not wrinkle easily so storage and ready use are rapid and certain.
