The 661 from Aphex is a single channel compressor incorporating vacuum tube technology that's equally at home in music production, sound reinforcement, broadcast and post production, project studios and for the musician.
The unit consolidates three processes in a single rack-space chassis that include Tubessence technology, Easyrider automatic dynamic control and a High Frequency Expander. The 661 also provides complete manual control over the dynamics process.
A link feature allows to 661s to be combined and have VCA control of the two units function in several ways for stereo operation. Sidechain access provides for inserting an external processing device into the signal path.
