I was out at recent Holiday Event in Naples FL. I am not sure if it was an elf or a reindeer that bumped me and caused my lens cap to take flight into the crowd. Yep it was lost! So I needed a replacement lens cap! I ran home and logged onto B&H website and bought Canon's pinch snap-on lens cap and a cap keeper. Now my lens cap is tethered, and my glass is protected from things that bump cameras such as elves and reindeer. Canon's pinch snap-on lens cap protects my lens from unwanted elements that will harm my lens such as sand, dust, grim and scratches. Hey it's only a cap but the bottom line it keeps my glass safe! P.S. I saw Santa's list, a Canon EF70-200mm f2.8L II from B&H had my name on it. Shhhhh don't tell him I told you!

Necessary for protection
Good for dust and physical protection of expensive lens on my camera. The only thing I don't like about them is that they are easily lost. This was a replacement for the original

Lost mine, I know. I had a hard time finding this particular cap (sans "ultrasonic") and was happy that B&H had it.

Hard to write a review on a lens cap, but we lost our lens cap for our 18-135mm lens and this was a perfect replacement. No issues with the product.

Comments about Canon 72mm Snap-On Lens Cap:
I think this on are great, good, comfortable and it will give you a secure way of walking around with the camera in one hand. I use it a lot and has removed the normal neck strap. It goes to what I at least guess to all SLR's it mounts to the neck strap fastener on the top side, and to the tripod screw hole on the bottom, I use it for my Canon. It is expensive but much better then the others including the standard Canon one that only works with a battery grip.

No complaints about this cap. Fits snugly, and works as it should. I have an XH-A1 with the UV lens, and it works on it.

This does the trick for my Canon XL2 with a UV filter and lens hood on it. Just what the doctor ordered.

I purchased my XL2 used. The 3x Wide Angle Lens never came with a lens cap. This one fit perfectly and is extremely easy to use. I would recommend this product.

Comments about Canon 72mm Snap-On Lens Cap:
Not much to say here. It's a brand name lens cap that works well with the 28-135mm kit lens that comes with the Canon 50D. I tend to lose lens caps, so I purchase a few as backups.
