My only concern about this handy lens cap keeper after opening it was the thickness of the adhesive tab which attaches to the inside of the lens cap. I probably would have designed it a little larger in diameter but, "thinner." This would insure no worry about the adhesive tab not coming into contact with your UV lens filter which I use on all of my lenses. I don't see any evidence that the adhesive tab comes into contact with the filter at this point. It is a sure fire winner when it comes to not loosing your lens caps [$] each for 77 mm Canon's.

I bought these to replace my friends lens caps. He said he liked the Canon name. My advice is to get the form that pinches in the center. They are much easier to handle with the lens hood attached. Allows you to have the hood set up and use this so no contaminants get on the lens front in bad weather. I bought the Tamron caps that pinch in the center. People think you have a cheaper lens, they are cheaper for price, and of high quality. Just my two cents.

I keep spare lens caps for all my lenses and replace them as soon as I lose one. Inexpensive insurance for an expensive investment.

I bought this as a replacement cap for a 24-70mm 2.8 L lens. Looks like the original and does exactly what it suppose to - protecting the front element.

The Canon Snap-On Lens has been so helpful. Stays on when I have my camera slung around my neck and when the camera is in its bag, lens down. So glad I bought the brand name.

I looked at off market covers and they were clunky. If you lost your lens cover, get the real thing. It works easily and is more streamlined.

Comments about Canon E-77U 77mm Snap-On Lens Cap:
This replacement lens cap is exactly like the original that I lost in Sedona, AZ. It goes on my Canon 24-105 mm L walk-around lens, and will continue to keep my filter and lens scratch- and dust-free. Great price at B&HPV, and it arrived on my front porch in record time, too. Thanks, guys!

Comments about Canon E-77U 77mm Snap-On Lens Cap:
Having lost the original lens cap for a Canon 20-35mm zoom, I bought a generic replacement at my local camera shop. It does not stay on the lens but quickly falls off. Filters stay on the lens, the generic cap stays on the filters, but the generic cap will not stay on the lens. The genuine Canon 77mm lens cap will stay on.

This is the OEM replacement lens cap. I had misplaced mine, and this is the perfect replacement. It's also very inexpensive. I see no need to buy a generic when the real thing is so inexpensive.
