The rear lens cap is a necessity in the camera bag. My Canon Rebel came with one when I bought it. I went outside to take some photos and lost it near the lake at my home. Devils Lake got a great taste of plastic that day. I was worried about something happening to my camera until I received the rear lens cap. Definitely a product that photographers should have two of so this incident doesn't happen to them.

I bought this to replace a couple of lost rear caps for lenses. Unfortunately, I had to do some juggling because the wide flange at the bottom of the cap keeps this from fitting all my lenses; some of them don't have enough clearance for the flange, so they don't fully seat. The original caps didn't have those flanges.

I first tried and aftermarket cap, and the fit was horrible, so I went back to buy the Canon cap and the fit was perfect. Sure it was a few dollars more than aftermarket, but the quality and fit make it worth it to me.
