Comments about Canon 58C Macrolite Adapter:
It's necessary to use with the Macroflash MT-24EX.
It holds the flash very well.

Comments about Canon 58C Macrolite Adapter:
- Simple to use (after all , it is just a metal ring)
- High quality
- The only quality/official way to attach a macro ring flash (Canon MR-14EX), to a Canon macro lens (in my case 100mm, 2.8, USM) AND still protect the lens with a UV filter.
- The construction goes like that (in my case): Camera + Extension Tube + Lens + UV filter + Macrolite adapter 58C + MR-14EX.

Comments about Canon 58C Macrolite Adapter:
Kinda pricey for what you get but it works like a charm on my 50mm 1.4f lens with the Macrolite now firmly attached - all mounted on my 5d Mk II.

Comments about Canon 58C Macrolite Adapter:
The 58C Macrolite adapter is, quite simply, a 58mm diameter threaded ring of metal. Solely intended for mounting Canon ring flashes to lenses with 58mm filter barrels -- including macro lenses with filters attached -- it does exactly that.

Comments about Canon 58C Macrolite Adapter:
I use the MT-24EX Macro Twin Light Flash which directly fits the EF 50mm f/2.5 Compact Macro, EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro, and MP-E 65mm lenses and adaptors are required to work with other lenses. The adaptor screws into the lens filter threads and the allowing the flash unit to be used on a wide variety of lens choices greatly increasing the versatility of the flash. This metal adaptor is of high quality and does exactly what it is supposed to do, ie creating a secure attachment point for the macro ring. I highly recommend this product.

Comments about Canon 58C Macrolite Adapter:
This adapte does what it is supposed to. Bought to use the Canon flash ring with the 100mm macro lens. When it arrived i found out that it was not necessary, the flash attaches direct onto the lens. So double check if you really need it before you purchase.

Comments about Canon 58C Macrolite Adapter:
Reviews showed that the Canon Macro Ring Light was the best choice for Macro photography. The Macro lens that I have could only use the same vendor's Ring Light. I found out from the Photography store that I frequent, that there was an adapter available. I found it on line and I am so glad that I didn't just purchase the "other" ring light.

Comments about Canon 58C Macrolite Adapter:
Canon's macrolite adapter connects perfectly to camera or lens adapter rings and securely holds their ring light preventing rotary slippage. It is an essential part of a well crafted system for near point photography.
