Comments about Canon Telephoto EF 200mm f/2.8L II USM Autofocus Lens:
images are ok-I expecated a lot more from an "L" lens. Cannot get tack sharp images even with high SS. Will keep though since it was a gift from father who makes very little money. B & H service was top notch as always.

Comments about Canon Telephoto EF 200mm f/2.8L II USM Autofocus Lens:
This is an astounding lens! Sharp, light (compared to any zoom in that range), fast, and of great construction. This is one of the best lens in terms of IQ/value. Sure IS would be great but that would make it heavier and more expensive, and if you are already in the telephoto range you better have a sturdy tripod anyway. IQ is slightly better than the Canon 70-200 f/2.8 zooms, which is expected of this type of lens. My only (minor) grudges with this lens are: it has a 72mm filter size, whereas most of the other lenses I have are 77mm, but nothing a ring downsizer can't fix. And second, I expected it to be better weather sealed.Overall, great lens for this price.

Comments about Canon Telephoto EF 200mm f/2.8L II USM Autofocus Lens:
Just purchased the lens to add to my arsenal for portrait photography. It is a great lens in that it is f/2.8, super sharp wide open, and very very fast to focus. I am greatly impressed by the clarity and the compact size. This is a great lens and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a telephoto prime that is very reasonably priced for the performance it delivers.

Comments about Canon Telephoto EF 200mm f/2.8L II USM Autofocus Lens:
I shoot field sports and this lens is just stunning. I used to have the 70-200 f4 (non IS) and, believe me, this lens is sharper by a good amount. Overall I'm very pleased with its performance. Some people may ask for IS and I can understand if they do, but I think this lens is just right at right price. Thanks B&H for your 5stars service!

Comments about Canon Telephoto EF 200mm f/2.8L II USM Autofocus Lens:
beautiful photos, beautiful bokeh. i've had a non-L series Canon zoom lens to cover this range for a while and the difference is incredible. nice and light as well, so as not to break off my arm.

Comments about Canon Telephoto EF 200mm f/2.8L II USM Autofocus Lens:
This lens represents the technical perfection of our generation, the generation of people who have anything to feel happy.
This is a very fast, sharp, beautiful lens.
An incredible level of desire to photograph images, and search your photos-all this makes life more diverse.
It is a pity that many things did not justify its price tag, but this lens is worth its money. I would even pay more if it was able to exploit these features.
This is a real gift to the people who know the price of things and never regret about what they were doing at any moment of your life!

Comments about Canon Telephoto EF 200mm f/2.8L II USM Autofocus Lens:
I bought this to supplement or replace my Canon EF 100-400m 1:4.5-5.6 L IS lens on a Canon 5d Camera.
I am extremely pleased with the choice for the following reasons:
1. Not as much weight to carry.
2. Sharper images in low light or cloudy conditions.
3. Better for Wildlife Action photography.
So far I have no negative comments.

Comments about Canon Telephoto EF 200mm f/2.8L II USM Autofocus Lens:
Last weekend I used this lens at a three-day fashion event and it did not disappoint. I used the lens at its widest aperture to produce images where the subjects were sharp and the backgrounds were beautifully blurred out. It is very hand holdable which allows you to eliminate the need for a monopod (as I usually do with my heavier 70-200mm f/2.8 lens). Without the monopod, I was able to shoot between portrait and landscape orientations much more easily, thus giving me some freedom to be more creative with my shots. The fact that this lens does not include image stablization does not deter me from using it. I feel confident that this will be my go-to lens for future runway shows.

Comments about Canon Telephoto EF 200mm f/2.8L II USM Autofocus Lens:
Great combination of size, weight, cost and performance when you know you will be at least 30ft from your subject. Wide open is sharp with great color. Easily hand held in daylight conditions with fast shutter speeds. I was surprised at my keep rate hand held at 1/100 in low light concert conditions. Main uses: action shots, auditorium, and candid street portraits.

Comments about Canon Telephoto EF 200mm f/2.8L II USM Autofocus Lens:
I wasn't concerned about the stabilizer on this prime lens not being there. I go for quality first and by using a tripod, this is my stabilizer. A faster shutter speed also takes care of this. A added feature is my 2 Extenders, the EF 1.4x II and the EF 2x II will work with this lens.

Comments about Canon Telephoto EF 200mm f/2.8L II USM Autofocus Lens:
I bought this opposed to any of the 70-200mm zooms because this one's cheaper and SHARPER!!!
I mainly use it for headshots, but it's nice on the occasion where I use it outdoors and I can't get close enough.
It's smaller and lighter than I expected, which is nice for a 200mm without IS.

Comments about Canon Telephoto EF 200mm f/2.8L II USM Autofocus Lens:
I have owned this lens now for approx 6 years and it has given outstanding results. I specialise in Formula1 and motor racing and combined with the 1.4 and 2 extenders it is more than enough to cover all situations. I use a Canon 7D body with these lens combo's which give 320mm @ 2.8f, 448mm @ 4.0f, and 640mm @ 5.6f. with very little weight when compared to the larger L series prime lenses.
I have attached a shot I took at the Le Mans 24 hrs race in 2007 at 2.30am. f/2.8, 1/100 sec, !SO 1600.

Comments about Canon Telephoto EF 200mm f/2.8L II USM Autofocus Lens:
I was looking for good lens under 900 $. My needs was a good, fast telephoto lens, and this lens is what I looking for.
It produces high quality images, and it is good for some long landscapes like mountains and with moon in background, also great for some games and night events and portraits.
It is also small, black and light.
Finally, I recommend it for who can not afford EF 70-200 2.8s.

Comments about Canon Telephoto EF 200mm f/2.8L II USM Autofocus Lens:
This is a very good lens. Images are very sharp with little or no, chromic abberation. And, it works very well with my Sigma 1.4X and Canon 2.0X tele-extenders.
The only down-side to this lens is that is does not have IS. I knew that going in and compensate for it when I use it.

Comments about Canon Telephoto EF 200mm f/2.8L II USM Autofocus Lens:
My camera is a lowly T1i and this lens is a dream. This and my 85 1.8 is all I need for my daughter's volleyball.
The lens works exceptionally well for my son's outdoor soccer. Gets a little tight when the action is close, but is good-to-go about 75% of the time.
Pictures are coming out really well. Partly because of the high quality of the lens and partly because I like the quality of this lens which encourages me to use it more and improve my skills.

Comments about Canon Telephoto EF 200mm f/2.8L II USM Autofocus Lens:
I use this lens primarily for shooting highschool football. It's very fast, good in low-light situations, and the images are sharper than the original Canon 70-200mm (I haven't used the II model) that I used to own. The only con to this item is that it is a little heavy.

Comments about Canon Telephoto EF 200mm f/2.8L II USM Autofocus Lens:
I loved this lens for it's speed and DOF, it makes lovely portraits if you like to shoot from some distance instead of getting right up on your model. But the day I truly fell in love with it was the day I was in a hurry and failed to zip up my bag, tossed the bag on my back and the lens arced up about six feet off the concrete floor and smacked to earth with a sickening crunch. Heart sick, I mounted the lens on my camera to see how much damage I had done, and it zipped through it's focal range like new. Months later it is still just fine. Thank you L construction.

Comments about Canon Telephoto EF 200mm f/2.8L II USM Autofocus Lens:
I selected this lens because I wanted prime lens quality, and the capability of selective focus. The Canon EF 200mm f/2.8 absolutely fulfills my wants in this type of lens. It's very sharp with very shallow DOF @ wide aperture. I find it's weight to be comfortable and it has nice balance.
