I got tired of having my 5D MKII hanging around my neck and the neck strap always got in the way when I was shooting from a tripod. I've steadfastly rejected the use of a battery pack since I had one for my D30. Being old school the vertical release button was of limited value and the weight a battery grip adds and the special "bagging" requirements it demands made it a non-starter for me.
This strap fits the camera well, is sturdy and secure on the camera and on my wrist. By carefully adjusting the small fiber strap that connects to the camera, I have even provided myself a finger whole through which I insert my middle finger giving me a secure grip on the camera with the strap around my wrist, on guard to protect my camera if my grip should slip.
Everything else I tried was made for a small, light-weight point and shoot camera and left me feeling insecure both in my grip and in my equipment's safety.

Comments about Canon WS-20 Wrist Strap:
This is a great alternative for those in search of something more inconspicuous than Canon's (look at me) stock neck straps. I've been through numerous straps (neck/sling/wrist) in search of the one that suits me best, and this is the one. It is made with the same quality/durability of the stock straps. I've used it on my 5d Mark II for the past year with no problems. It's more than strong enough to simply let the camera hang in situations where two hands are needed. It cuts down on the bulk when placing my camera in my sling backpack. Most helpful of all, it forces the camera to be in your hands and at the ready at all times! I'm ordering a second for my backup camera now.

Comments about Canon WS-20 Wrist Strap:
The 30 mm wide wrist strap is not ajustable, so I am sewing some Velcro on the inside, up to the first 'n' of the embroidered Canon.

Comments about Canon WS-20 Wrist Strap:
I wanted a wrist strap for my Canon G1X (the neck strap just gets in the way and just seems too much for that tiny little camera). However the problem was finding a wrist strap that was sturdy enough to support the weight of the camera without making me nervous about the thin nylon cord snapping under the pressure and BOOM there goes my $800 camera. This strap is great! It is very sturdy and well made. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because there is no slider to adjust the strap tighter on my wrist.

Comments about Canon WS-20 Wrist Strap:
This is the only lightweight, secure, wrist strap that is strong enough to handle a DSLR. Other straps are either too complicated or too light.

Comments about Canon WS-20 Wrist Strap:
I needed something small to secure my camera instead of the bulky factory neck strap for my T2i. Product is as shown, good quality. It's just a piece of strap, nothing can go wrong there.

Comments about Canon WS-20 Wrist Strap:
Wide enough to be sturdy, but not so big it domimates the camera (G11 in my case). Much better for me than neck strap. Good price and good shipping.

Comments about Canon WS-20 Wrist Strap:
This is just the thing for a strap on for the Canon G11 or G12. The supplied over the neck camera strap from Canon works, but is too long and always seems to be getting in the way. This wrist strap is perfect. You can hold the camera while taking a picture and feel safe it's on your wrist and won't fall. The best thing is it's unobtrusive. There are other import straps cheaper but the part that actually attaches to the camera is corded material. This is real web strapping and it works the best.

Good option when you don't need to carry G12 in a bag/pouch or want to use the included strap. Quick access to the camera and you don't look like a girl carrying a small purse over your shoulder (when using the included shoulder strap ).

The wrist strap is a good, quality product. It was a little looser on my wrist than I wanted. I returned it and instead got the shoulder strap.

I use this wrist strap on my Canon PowerShot G12 in place of the neck strap. It lets me keep track of the camera without the bulk & length of the neck strap.
