It works fine, diffuses the light like a soft box is supposed to.

Comments about Chimera Maxi Softbox, White - Extra Small:
I bought this softbox to allow portability for shooting both nature and portraits outdoors, and I love the flexibility and ease of assembling and transporting it, as well as the performance! Great soft light, and it doesn't cost a fortune.
The only negative is the mount to a tripod or remote flash bracket. The screw that holds the box and mounting ring isn't quite sturdy enough to tilt my Canon 580EX flash vertical and hold it in that position.

Comments about Chimera Maxi Softbox, White - Extra Small:
This soft box is super handy on the go. Can easily be hand held or put on a stand if you are working by yourself. The only downfall is that the carry case isn't big enough to leave my flash attached to the mount.

Comments about Chimera Maxi Softbox, White - Extra Small:
This was my introduction to proper light modifiers. Coupled with a Canon 580 EXII this softbox provides nice even lighting in a small and durable package. Chimera even sells a kit so that you can use two speedlights. The biggest drawback is really the speed ring because it means that while being very portable it takes more time to set up but the trade-off is a really secure and study product. A great investment and a good (and bad) way to be bitten by the lighting bug.

Comments about Chimera Maxi Softbox, White - Extra Small:
I am a "gun and run" photography; always on the move. Many times lighting is rotten to say the least. I looked for a way to take studio type lighting without having to have five helpers along to carry and set up. I found the Maxi Softbox. It is light, easy to set up, gives a wonderful soft light when coupled with my Canon 580EX flash. The only negative about this product is that it will catch the wind which will causes it to pull on the mount. Once you experience that a few time controlling it is no problem. I have used it in very low light, harsh shadow, indoors and for event shooting with wonderful results.
