The Chimera Pro II 36 x 48" Softbox is designed for use with a strobe. With fabric not intended for the heat of a continuous light, this softbox comes standard with a white interior and a flush front face. The flush mounted front face provides a wider spread of light than a box with a recessed front. It's sewn in front face allows it to be set up in less than 30 seconds. Because there is no built in recessed front face, ganging the boxes together without a large black space between the boxes is possible with any number of these boxes.

Comments about Chimera Pro II Softbox for Flash Only - Medium - 36x48" (90x120cm):
Chimera call this their "medium" Pro Softbox but I consider 3ft X 4 ft to be pretty darn big. Great light (quality), very light (weight).

Comments about Chimera Pro II Softbox for Flash Only - Medium - 36x48" (90x120cm):
I use this box both in the studio and on location with a number of studio strobes and smaller battery powered flashes. A couple of brackets let me adapt it to accommodate my Nikon Speedlights, and for many applications this is plenty of light, even outdoors. The box is big enough to provide a flattering light for people, but compact enough to work in cramped environments. I keep one in my location kit (along with two other sizes of Chimeras) and since it's the size I most often pull out, bought this one just for use in my new studio.

Comments about Chimera Pro II Softbox for Flash Only - Medium - 36x48" (90x120cm):
Creates great light, good for portraits or larger products. According to my meter, the light is more balanced across the whole front bank if you don't use the inner diffuser. Overall, good quality, better than most other softboxes on the market.
