Due to its light pink color, the B&W 72mm KR 1.5 Skylight Filter reduces the blue cast of daylight and produces a pleasing, warmer picture tone. Also known as a Skylight (1A) filter, it is a wise initial investment. It can help protect your lens from dust, moisture and scratches, which can lead to costly repairs.
B&W slim filters are for wide-angle lenses and are 3mm thick. They do not have a front thread.

Comments about B+W 72mm Skylight KR-1.5 Filter:
Works fine. Nicely machined. Low profile is a great idea but no rim to attach the Nikon lens-cap is a negative as the plastic cap supplied with the filter does not even stay on for five minutes. I'm going retro.
