As part of the EXF series, this cable employs 100% microweave bare copper shielding and CFP low loss dielectric for fast, accurate wide bandwidth signal transfer. EXF Cables are finished in Comprehensive's famous X-traflex black matte, non glare jacket.

I produce corporate videos mostly product demos and interviews.
What's great--If it worked it would probably be fine.
What's not so great. The mini plug connector was bad. I lost sound in the middle of an interview and ended up balancing the connector on the head of my tripod. If I bumped it I'd lose the connection. I probably just got a bad one so be sure and thoroughly check out the cable before you go on site with it.

I Should have listened to the other reviewers. There is play in the connector which makes it useless. Audio will cut in and out. I had a friend who is good at soldering hack this cable into my audio technica shotgun. Works well.

XLR plug was fine, but the female mini jack was loose - so loose as to not make a reliable connection. I tried with 4 different microphones and only 1 worked sporadically. A complete waste of money and time.

The female fitting was so loose it rendered the cable unusable with a microphone. I tested it with three different mini plugs and each easily rattled around in the fitting, cutting the signal in and out.
