I use this to connect my mac mini to a sony boombox on the other side of the room. I needed a longer cable to keep it away from my wire-chewing cat. The fidelity is very good although there is some line noise. (Audible if you turn up the volume on the boombox & there is no output from the computer.) It doesn't interfere with watching TV on hulu so I don't really care.
The jacks made good thermal connections without needing to be joggled and the line is encased in a very flexible synthetic housing, making it very easy to install and use.
