The battery has negative and positive sides clearly labeled. What's not so great about it is that it's not rechargeable, but if you don't forget to turn off your camera and rarely use flash the life of this product is quite good. I used two batteries in my Canon T2 for over a month shooting an average of two rolls per week (rarely using flash). Would definitely recommend this brand.

I use the CR2 batteries in my Sigma 35mm SLR and they work great.
They last a while, like 3 months of average shooting.
