Comments about Photoflex Mogul to E-27 Lamp Adapter:
I use this to place household or photoflood bulbs in the starlite fixture. Although the fixture is on the heavy side, it's sturdy and inexpensive (esp. used). So, I prefer them to other softlight fixtures. Putting household practicals or photofloods in them is a little cumbersome, but it's better looking than paper lanterns, in my opinion. These adapters are perfect for that.

I had a little trouble getting this to fit into the base on my Starlite QL. Once I got it in though, very happy, gives me much more flexibility with the softbox.

Comments about Photoflex Mogul to E-27 Lamp Adapter:
There are times when 1000W and 500W bulbs just overpower the ambient light. So I wanted to use a 250W and 150W E27 type lamps. Most of my other lights are in such a range, so it is easier to build a scene that way.
Construction here is excellent, and so much better than the Starlight's own E40 base. I understand there's heat to dissipate but I find that part of a starlight to be poorly designed. This screw adapter actually makes it more solid, but it is likewise harder to dismount. And that would be my only complaint.
bottom line: this conversion to E27 just gives you more options lamp-wise.

Product is well made and works! Cheap too! Let's you use standard base bulbs (such as hi-output flourescent bulbs) in a Photoflex StarliteQL unit, for instance.
