Cokin "P" Series Universal Adapter Ring (P486)
The Cokin "P" Series Universal Adapter Ring attaches to the outside of the lens and is used to fit the Cokin "P" series filter holder to lenses with non-standard diameters (or damaged threads) from 72 to 84mm.

I use this product on two of my lenses rather than having two separate adapter rings.
It is light weight and easy to use.
It takes up a bit more room in my camera bag than individual rings.
Although it works great and is light weight, I am a bit concerned about it's durability, but we will see how it works.

Fits snugly and holds the filter holder steady. Will not fit the Sigma 12-24 DG HSM (~82mm filter thread).
If your focus ring is at the very end of the lens you could have a problem since you'll have to affix the screws to that ring.
