Even with the dimensions and pictures, the small size and light weight shocked me when I first opened this package! The tripod is perfect to fit into a shirt pocket and perfectly sturdy. This is one great bang for the buck!

Needed a compact tripod with universal head for travels with a mini digital camcorder and small DSLR. This Giotto works well and is sufficiently strong to handle 3 or 4 lbs. Small enough to carry in rear pocket without too much notice. Ball head locks up tight with little creep. Extremely light and rapid setup.
