The Hoya Enhancing filter is a combination of rare earth elements(didymium)in glass. It removes a portion of the spectrum in the orange region, increasing the color saturation of reddish objects by eliminating the muddy tones and maximizing the red hues with minimal effect on other colors. Its most frequent use is for obtaining strongly saturated photographs of fall foliage.

I truly do not want to remove it
Comments about Hoya 72mm Enhancing (Intensifier) Glass Filter:
Didymium filters reduce excessive yellow from common outdoor sodium lighting. Helps restore color in night scenes lit by sodium lights. Cuts through ground level and low altitude haze because sodium yellow scatters worse than other colors. Reduce that ugly yellow sky background.

Comments about Hoya 72mm Enhancing (Intensifier) Glass Filter:
I ordered this filter for use this fall season in the mountains. As a rule I prefer taking the best photo possible & doing as little adjusting later as possible. To this end I hope my fall color will be as vibrant as should be straight out of the camera. No color yet so the results are yet to be seen. The purchase was without any problems and first look of the filter is pleasing. [...] good quality product at a good price, just what we have learned to look forward to from B&H.
