Velbon QB-5LC Quick Release Plate
The Velbon QB-5L Quick Release Plate fits the Victory 451, Videomate 500, 600, 601, CX-540, 580, 640, 680, S-4000, 5000, V-7500 and 9500 tripods, and features a 1/4"-20 camera screw and video pin.
A quick release plate can be kept attached to the camera's base and allows the user to quickly and easily attach or remove the camera from the tripod without having to waste time fumbling with the threaded mount.

Several years ago I purchased a very nice used tripod that uses a quick release detachable plate that mounts to the bottom of the camera. This allows you to quickly remove the camera without unscrewing it from your tripod. Within 3 days of purchasing this tripod the plate disappeared rendering my new tripod useless. Having just purchased it I couldn't bear to throw it away and couldn't find the plate anywhere online so the tripod sat in the corner of my room until just the other day I ran across b&h online and I thought I would take a chance and look up the plate. Not only was it available but it was in stock. It arrived in 3 days, and was not in fact a generic replacement, but an original manufacturer part. It fits like new. I'm very happy to have my old tripod back in service!

I use the plate to fasten my camera to my tripod. I lost the one that came with my tripod and was extremely frantic. Luckily, I was able to purchase a replacement from you. Without it, I can't attach my camera to my tripod, so, it is crucial to my set up. I think it's a genius little peice of plastic. Only down side to is if you loose it you are scuppered, so get a spare.

I use my camera mounted to a tripod most of the time but there are times I like or need to use it hand held. Now it is a "snap" to do so. You just flip a handle and your disconnected. Definitly a must have for all photographers both amatuer and professional

I had a very old Velbon Victory 451 tripod with a missing quick release plate. I ordered this product as a replacement and it's a perfect fit! Actually, the fit and finish on it is better that the plates on a more expensive tripod I also own. The screw is metal..not plastic! Very pleased with my purchase.
