Comments about Mighty Wondercam (Videosmith) SCREWIT 5/8" male to 1/4-20 female Microphone Mount Adapter:
It works just as one would want, with no problems. Seems overpriced for a small piece of metal with screw threads, but if you need it, as I did, it's worth it.

This is an amazing adapter. I do not have an audio input on my DSLR, so I attach this to the standard 1/4-20 male screw and then attach a standard microphone clip to the 5/8 side and record audio separately for syncing in post. Convenient and secure.

Help convert a light stand to an audio stand, and does a perfect job at that. It's the only one I was able to find online.

I use Bogen lightstands as microphone stands for recording and these little adapters allow use of standard mic shock mounts. I finally crazy-glued the adapters onto the 1/4"-20 posts because they were coming off inside the base of the shock mounts every time I broke down a job. Solid brass construction stands up to everyday abuse. Much more rugged than the posts they screw onto!

Comments about Mighty Wondercam (Videosmith) SCREWIT 5/8" male to 1/4-20 female Microphone Mount Adapter:
I have a nice camera tripod that I wanted to use also as a microphone stand for my recording studio. This little adapter, plus a couple threaded washers as shims, makes it work fine for this purpose. The 1/4" female end attaches to the tripod threaded screw, and the 5/8" male end accepts a standard microphone mount. I had to add a couple threaded 5/8" mic stand washers as shims so that the adapter assembly pulls snug against the tripod's camera platform when I tighten the lever on the camera mount.
