I use this mic in an observation booth--requires a lot of gain on the preamp; sound quality is nominal but it works.

I purchased four of these to use in a conference room setting for skype etc. but found that they had a smaller range (gain) than the built-in laptop mics. I also wasn't clear upon purchase that they required batteries since the "electret" design typically uses a permanently charged dielectric material. Ended up purchasing boundary mic directly from [...].
