This is an incredibly sturdy monopod given its light weight and reasonable price. Worked great with my Nikon D200 and zoom lens. I found it very easy to adjust. I especially liked its small size when fully collapsed - it would fit easily into my backpack.

I travel with a small canon HD camcorder. Unwanted jumps and motion is the bane of these small machines and a tripod is frequently not appropriate. The Cullman Magic provides a stable platform on a solid surface. It works very well with a Monfrotto 080 Monopod Belt Pouch. The combined monopod and belt pouch weigh less than one pound which is both comfortable and checked luggage friendly.
