I bought this as a replacement strap for a Tamrac 608, but I also use it on a heavy light stand bag. The suede covered pad is very comfortable and the strap is over 50inches long, so it works well on longer items. Excellent build quality.

This is a great strap, and it really helps spread out the load for your favorite camera bag. HOWEVER, Tamrac used to boast that they only used aircraft grade aluminum hardware, but in the latest incarnation of the S-142, it came with plastic snap-hooks, not the rugged metal ones that used to ship on this item. I know this because I have two older versions of this strap. Perhaps if enough people complain, they'll go back to metal hardware.

I have two tamrac camera bags with the leather padded strap but one is sewn to the bag and the other uses the removable clip. I like the strap so much that I use it for other bags when traveling such as my computer bag. Recently I had the computer and the mid size camera bag and realized I needed an extra one of these great straps. It is exactly what I needed.
